16 platforms, profiled
Every platform we track: what it does, who it fits, and what it costs.
Abrigo
Commercial credit and lending suite
Abrigo sells commercial lending and credit risk software to more than 2,400 financial institutions, over 400 of them credit unions, with tax return auto-spreading, global cash flow, risk rating and credit memos in one product line. It is the only vendor in this research carrying named credit union league endorsements, and it publishes no Part 723 cap calculation or loan participation capability.
Aloan
AI commercial underwriting
Aloan is an AI commercial underwriting platform that takes borrower documents through spreading, credit policy checks and a committee-ready memo with every figure traced to its source page, covering SBA, CRE, C&I and equipment finance. For credit unions it works as the member business lending analysis layer alongside an existing core and origination system, and it publishes no named customers or pricing.
Baker Hill
Commercial origination and portfolio suite
Baker Hill sells end-to-end commercial origination, spreading with global cash flow, covenant capture and portfolio monitoring, and it has the deepest verifiable credit union commercial footprint in this research, including full client stories at Rally Credit Union and ESL Federal Credit Union. It publishes no NCUA Part 723 capability, and the NextGen brand name retires in 2026 in favour of UN/FY.
Blend
Mortgage and consumer origination
Blend sells digital origination for mortgage, home equity, consumer lending and deposit accounts, claiming seven of the ten largest US credit unions as customers with three named and asset-sized. Its Autopilot AI reviews borrower documents in 15 to 25 seconds and is deliberately non-decisioning, and it does no commercial or member business lending.
FISCAL
Credit analysis point solution
FISCAL is a narrow analyst-desk pair of tools for credit unions: FISCAL Forward for spreading, global cash flow and credit memos, and FISCAL TRACKING for exception management. It is priced on the business lending portfolio and user count rather than total assets, runs on-premise only, and is explicitly not an origination system.
Fiserv
Core provider with lending platform
Fiserv sells credit union cores and origination alongside them, naming Velocity for consumer and small business lending and Loancierge for consumer auto with direct core coupling. Its credit union footprint is the largest here at 3,330-plus institutions, but Velocity has no product page, brochure or sitemap entry, so the product a buyer would be quoted cannot be researched independently.
Jack Henry
Core provider with lending platform
Jack Henry supplies both the Symitar credit union core, implemented at approximately 715 credit unions from $20 million to $33 billion in assets, and the lending platform that runs against it, covering consumer and commercial lending including C&I, CRE, asset-based and SBA. The lending product name is barely published anywhere, which makes it unusually hard to research before a quote.
MeridianLink
Consumer loan origination
MeridianLink is the most widely recommended lending software for credit unions and the consumer origination market leader, claiming to serve more than half of all US credit union members through MeridianLink Consumer plus separate products for mortgage, deposit account opening and collections. It has no commercial loan origination system, so member business lending needs a second vendor.
nCino
Enterprise lending platform
nCino sells a single cloud lending platform covering commercial, consumer and mortgage lending with Automated Spreading and continuous credit monitoring, and it is the only vendor in this research with audited public disclosure and a filed credit union reference list including Navy Federal. It publishes nothing on Part 723 or the member business lending cap, and prices on institution asset size.
Origence
Credit-union-owned consumer origination
Origence is credit-union-owned lending technology and a CUSO with 124 credit union shareholders, running the CUDL indirect auto network of 1,100 credit unions and roughly 20,000 dealers alongside its arc OS origination system for consumer loans and deposit accounts. It sells no commercial or member business lending product.
Scienaptic
AI credit decisioning
Scienaptic is a CUSO selling AI credit decisioning that layers between a credit union's origination system and its bureaus, with the strongest published exam-defence package in this research: a seven-year tamper-evident decision log, decision replay, override audit, ECOA-mapped adverse-action reasons and a one-click examiner export. It covers consumer and auto lending only.
Suntell
Commercial and ag lending suite
Suntell sells the Square 1 Credit Suite, an all-in-one commercial and agricultural origination and credit analysis platform with SpreadIQ AI tax return extraction reconciled back to source documents. It is the only vendor in this research that engages NCUA member business lending requirements in writing, and it names no credit union customers and is nearly invisible in AI-assisted vendor research.
Sync1 Systems
Credit-union-owned origination
Sync1 Systems is a credit-union-owned service organization in Austin selling loan origination software to credit unions exclusively, with 34 named credit union clients, a business-user-configurable decision engine, bidirectional core integration and published SOC 2 and SOC 3 reports. It prices on a one-time setup fee plus a fee per funded loan, and it never names which loan types it originates.
Temenos
Consumer origination and lifecycle suite
Temenos Origination handles consumer, card and indirect dealer lending for credit unions with instant decisioning, inside a lifecycle suite that also covers collections and compliance. It is the only vendor in this research publishing an institution-size band, banks and credit unions up to $50 billion in assets, and the only one naming its integrations concretely rather than counting them.
Upstart
AI lending marketplace
Upstart is an AI lending marketplace rather than lending software, with more than 100 bank and credit union partners filed with the SEC and over 25 credit unions named publicly. Credit unions use its Referral Network to receive pre-screened applicants against their own criteria, and it does no commercial or member business lending.
Zest AI
AI credit decisioning
Zest AI builds custom machine-learning underwriting models that layer onto a credit union's existing origination system, targeting auto-decisioning of roughly 80% of consumer applications, with a deep fair-lending toolkit. It is itself a CUSO and launched a second CUSO in 2026 for small credit unions, and it does no member business lending.
